Boarders School Chef (Maternity Cover)

We are currently recruiting for a Boarders School Chef to join our team at one of our sites in Pudsley, LS28.

We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high-end ethos throughout.

We are looking for a positive, honest and reliable employee to join our friendly and hardworking team. We can offer good training and prospects within our team for the right candidate.

Working Monday to Friday, 11:00am to 7:00pm, 37.5 hours per week. Term time only.

Creating seasonal, fresh and on trend food for a lovely independent school in Pudsey. Producing tasty meals for pupils aged between 5 and 18 years old.

This is a temporary position to cover maternity until the end of 2024, possibly leading to a permanent position. Joining a fantastic team, you will be providing boarders meals and serving on an evening to around 20 pupils and staff.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Have experience working in a similar role and environment
• Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
• Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
• Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
• Have excellent customer service and social skills
• Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff
• Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 10
• Be customer focused
• Have basic food knowledge
• Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
