Are you an experienced Control, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer ready to tackle some of the UK's most complex decommissioning challenges?

We're looking for a Senior CE&I Engineer to support the Magnox Swarf Storage Silo (MSSS) programme, delivering essential design and safety documentation across all three SEP Machines. This is a chance to contribute directly to one of the most high-profile legacy clean-up missions at Sellafield.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver work packages across a wide range of CE&I design challenges
Provide expert input to the SEP1 Design Justification Report
Produce and/or check functional safety deliverables and design substantiation documents (IEC 61508, up to SIL1)
Solve complex technical issues with innovative and safe design solutions
Support installation, commissioning, and documentation processesWhat We're Looking For:

CEng/IEng preferred, or equivalent experience
Strong background in Functional Safety, SIL-rated systems, and safety case development
Demonstrated experience delivering fit-for-purpose CE&I designs to time and budget
Skilled in breaking down technical issues and presenting resolution options
Familiarity with:
CE&I regulations (CDM, PUWER, BS13849/62061, BS7671)
Industrial installation standards, UKCA/CE marking
Engineering drawings and relevant standardsDesirable Skills:

Design risk assessments, installation method statements, EO packs
Panel build, technical files, and O&M documentation
Experience with PLC/SCADA control systems and network architectures
Ability to apply sound engineering judgement with a risk-based approach
