About the Role:

Based near Aylesbury, Bucks, my client, a growing and innovative manufacturing business, is looking to recruit a Finance Director, reporting to the Managing Director and work closely with Board, you will have a key role in shaping the financial future of the business, driving performance, and enabling further growth.

Main responsibilities of the Finance Director:

• Be a strategic partner to the MD and Board, contributing to growth strategies
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
• Oversee ERP implementation and digitisation of financial processes
• Manage and develop a high performing finance team of six
• Ensure robust financial controls, statutory compliance, and effective cash and tax management
• Provide financial insight to support decision making across the business
• Maintain strong relationships with finance stakeholders

The Ideal candidate for the Finance Director:

• We’re looking for a commercially astute, strategic finance leader who brings:
• A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACMA/ACCA)
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within an SME
• High emotional intelligence, integrity, and a proactive mindset
• A collaborative leadership style with the confidence to influence at Board level
• A track record of driving performance through KPIs and financial insight
• Experience managing change and leading high performing teams
