An Ofsted graded 'GOOD' Catholic primary school are seeking an experienced, reliable and adaptable class teacher to cover PPA time across school.
The position is part-time - 3 days per week - working days are negotiable with the school.
The role is to start from May half-term (7th June 2021) and is planned to continue into the 2021-2022 academic year. The successful candidate will be required to plan and teach a range of subjects to pupils from EYFS up to Year 6, including Phonics, English and Maths. The Head Teacher is therefore keen to secure an experienced teacher who is confident differentiating and adapting to suit the needs of the various age groups and relevant curriculums.
The school is an Ofsted graded 'GOOD' Catholic primary school based in Blackburn, which is easily accessible via the M65 and public transport. The school is smaller than the average-sized primary school. The proportion of disabled pupils and those who have special educational needs is inline with the national average and the proportion of pupils supported by pupil premium funding is below the national average. Almost all pupils are of White British heritage; however the school has a very small, but growing proportion of children with English as an additional language. The school is a Catholic faith school; candidates do not need to be practicing Catholic however they must demonstrate acceptance of the school's ethos.
The ideal candidate must hold Primary QTS, with experience of teaching across the primary phase. The Head Teacher is wanting to see CVs in the first instance, with the view to interview potential candidates.
