Location: Near Ashford, Kent

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm

Are you a proactive maintenance engineer looking for your next opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're working in close partnership with a well-established food production business near Ashford, Kent, to find a skilled Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer ready to step into a succession role and become an integral part of their growing team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on problem-solving, and takes pride in keeping production lines running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and support with reactive repairs during production shifts
Diagnose equipment faults and resolve issues to minimise downtime
Maintain clear and accurate shift logs and maintenance records
Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and food hygiene standards
Conduct risk assessments before carrying out maintenance tasks
Support continuous improvement initiatives and help refine engineering processes
Communicate effectively with the wider production and operations teams
Report on parts usage and flag stock shortages to the Engineering LeadWhat We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role, ideally within FMCG or food manufacturing
Multiskilled - Electrical or Mechanical bias, with relevant engineering qualifications
Good working knowledge of Window 10-based PC systems
Hands-on fault-finding and repair experience (electrical, mechanical or PLC-related)
Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
Strong awareness of operational KPIs and engineering performance metrics
Great communication skills and a proactive, team-first approachWhy Apply?
