HGV Class 1 Driver / Cat C+E / LGV

We are currently seeking experienced HGV1 (C+E) Drivers for our client in Northampton. Permanent positions available. Assessment dates available immediately.

The role

The role is driving a heavy goods vehicle to provide a HGV multi-drop delivery service of up to 8 drops daily, of palletised products to stores. You will unload pallets via tail lift and place in safe zone for store staff.

Shifts: Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday

Start times available between: 04:00 – 15:00 (10-hour average shift length)

MINIMUM PAY GUARANTEE: 8 HOURS PER DAY

Salary:

DAYS: £18.07 standard rate. £27.11 overtime

NIGHTS: £19.18 standard rate. £28.17 overtime

Location: Northampton - Furthest delivery point is Lowestoft

Rates of Pay:

Approx. 10-hour shifts per day - £18.07 p/h standard, nights £19.18 p/h standard

You will be paid minimum 8 hours per day regardless

Overtime paid daily after 8 hours, payable at time and ½

1.5x rate applies at weekends to drivers working 3+ days per week

Estimated Earnings (DAYS)

Basic Weekly: £795.12 (based on 10-hour days, 4 days per week)

Basic Monthly: £3,180 (based on 10-hour days, 4 days per week)

Basic Annually: £38,160 (based on 10-hour days, 4 days per week)

Estimated Earnings (NIGHTS)

Basic Weekly: £839.12 (based on 10-hour days, 4 days per week)

Basic Weekly: £3,356 (based on 10-hour days, 4 days per week)

Basic Annually: £40,277 (based on 10-hour days, 4 days per week)

Requirements:

Valid UK HGV1/Class 1/Cat C+E License

Digital Tacho card

Driver qualification card

No penalty points

No DD/DR convictions

A minimum of 2 years' HGV1 experience, or 1 year of relevant experience in retail driving.

Assessment process will take one day, and inductions will last two days
