Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting Learning: Work closely with small groups of pupils, helping them stay engaged and make academic progress.
  • Encouraging Growth: Assist learners with problem-solving and re-engagement when they go off-task.
  • Promoting Positive Behaviour: Help maintain a calm and focused classroom environment, supporting the teacher with behaviour strategies.
  • Team Communication: Liaise with Behaviour Managers and other staff to ensure consistent support for pupils.
  • Organising Learning Materials: Keep group work tidy and ready for the next lesson to help track progress.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Positive and Supportive: You bring energy and encouragement to every learner.
  • Experienced: You’ve worked with children with ASD, Down Syndrome, or non-verbal communication needs.
  • Confident with Behaviour Support: You know how to implement strategies and support pupils during challenging moments.
  • Specialist Background: Experience with SEMH/SEN students is a big plus.

What You’ll Need:

  • Recent experience supporting SEN pupils in UK schools.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • The legal right to work in the UK.
