Role Description Mechanical Engineer
Experience within Print and Packaging Industry
This is an on-site, full-time role located in Glasgow for a Mechanical Engineer located in Baillieston Glasgow.
The mechanical Engineer will be responsible for managing projects, collaborating with cross functional teams, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring quality control in manufacturing processes.
Other tasks will be to carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs to machinery with a view to minimising downtime and maximising uptime.
This is a hands on position in which you will be assisting and taking part in repairs and preventative maintenance on a regular basis.
On Occasions, there will be a need to carry out more reactive maintenance, attending to breakdowns and other unplanned stoppages.
You will report to the group maintenance manager and site leadership team, you will be required to communicate with machine operators, fit parts, fault find and offer solutions to problems and contribute to good housekeeping of the facility in line with BRC and ISO accreditations.

Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design skill
* Excellent problem-solving abilities
Strong analytical and technical skills
* Experience in the packaging industry is a plus
WORK PATTERN: Monday to Thursday
WORKING HOURS:
Monday to Thursday- 7: 30- 16:30
Thursday to Friday- 7:30- 1:30
SALARY: £41,000/ per annum
