We are currently looking for a Head of Homologation to head up type approval consultation activities for our client. The successful candidate will lead as a technical specialist for electrified vehicles, powertrains, noise and fuels on regulations, standards, government policy and strategy in all relevant technical areas for the UK automotive industry.

The Head of Homologation - Electric Vehicles and Emissions will:

* Provide the secretariat to the relevant Committees/Working Groups. Pro-actively manage their agendas, papers and activities and deliver key actions arising, working with committee/working group members, colleagues, government, and other stakeholders.

* Liaise and consult with member companies, government and key stakeholder on all relevant subjects and documents, to solicit member input to create an evidence base and draft influential proposals, positions, responses, papers, and presentations as required.

* Prepare succinct and clear briefing papers, slides, and materials for senior management.

* Deal with technical and legislative enquiries from industry, the public, and outside organisations in a professional manner.

* Provide regular technical information/circulars, briefing and support for members, colleagues and relevant committees and trade sections as required.

The Head of Homologation - Electric Vehicles and Emissions will have:

* Possess strong experience around UK and EU homologation type approval activities within UK Automotive sector.

* Relevant engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification and/or experience.

* Ability to interpret, provide guidance on requirements and shape regulatory content, policy, and strategy.

* Proven professional experience in automotive industry or relevant government departments, agencies, or sister industries.

* Ability to multi-task, respond flexibly to needs of business, and organise work effectively on different projects and issues, follow and deliver on internal processes and timelines.

* Good project management and organisational skills.
