Your new company
Your new company is a leading transport organisation, with operations across the entire UK. Sitting in a well established Internal Audit team, you will work closely with the Internal Audit Manager for Capital Projects, as well as assisting other areas within Audit.
The company is based out of Head Offices in Central London, and has major hubs across the UK - which you will need to occasionally travel to - all accessible via train.
Your new role
In your new role as Lead Internal Auditor, you will report to the Internal Audit Manager for Capital Projects to ensure safe and efficient delivery of all capital infrastructure projects across the UK. The specialist team you will sit as part of is quite lean and so you will need to be willing to get hands on and stuck into the full range of audit work from scoping and planning to fieldwork and delivery.
The wider Audit team is large however, and you will be expected to assist in areas other than purely Capital Infrastructure when needed. This may be Head Office audits, HSE audits etc. and so a wider understanding of Internal Audit would be beneficial for a role like this.
The role encompasses UK travel only, no international - is largely day trips only, with all locations you will visit easily accessible via train, if needed.
What you'll need to succeed
- Ideally holding a relevant qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIA etc.)
- Understanding of Internal Audit, focussing on operational audits
- Experience or knowledge of Infrastructure project management/delivery
- Ability to work in a large team
