Electrical Engineer

Salary: £50,166 DOE

Type: Full-time

Shift: 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights) - 6-6
Location: Stoke-on-Trent

A major UK food manufacturer is looking for a strong Electrical Engineer to join a high-performing Engineering team at one of the largest single-site operations in the sector.

If you're confident fault-finding under pressure, experienced with PLCs and drives, and want real long-term stability — this could be an excellent next step.

Role Overview

You'll play a key role in keeping production running at full capacity, delivering both PPM and fast, effective reactive maintenance. Working alongside Mechanical Engineers, you'll diagnose faults, minimise downtime, and support continuous improvement across site.

Key Responsibilities:

Responding quickly to breakdowns and reducing downtime

Electrical fault finding, testing, and inspection of plant equipment

*

Delivering PPM and updating maintenance systems

*

Supporting installation and project work

*

Working safely with isolations and permit systems

*

Contributing to overall plant reliability and performance

Your Profile:

*

Experience in a manufacturing electrical maintenance role

*

18th Edition qualification

*

PLC knowledge (Mitsubishi / Siemens)

*

Experience with Danfoss drives and SCADA systems

*

Strong problem-solving mindset

*

Ability to work rotating 4 on / 4 off shifts
