The Role

As a Purchasing Manager, you will lead a dynamic procurement function that ensures the reliable, cost-effective, and JIT supply of materials and components to support operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

To lead the evolution of their JIT + Procurement strategy to support the Manufacturing, Production, Operations and Service functions.
To champion supplier innovation at a strategic level for cost savings, product enhancement and competitive differentiation.
To provide "hands-on" leadership to the purchasing team, ensuring on-time availability of parts, maintaining inventory and cost controls, while ensuring supply aligns with both external and internal customer requirements.
To collaborate with suppliers on process improvements and support the procurement strategy through data-driven procurement, sustainable sourcing and pro-active supply chain risk management.The Candidate

Ideally with a Degree in Supply Chain or Engineering, you will be an experienced Purchasing Manager with solid MRP experience and previous strategic buying experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment. Your CV and experience MUST also demonstrate your capability and achievements in:

Strong team management skills, with a track record of leading, managing and mentoring a procurement function.
Working in close partnership with the Engineering and Manufacturing teams to identify cost-out opportunities.
Reviewing the current supply chain against quality, cost, delivery metrics, and actively managing supplier performance through quarterly reviews and development plans.
Supporting NPD (New Product Development) by ensuring timely sourcing of raw materials and components.The Company
