English Graduates required in Huddersfield - Teaching Assistant
Are you an English graduate looking to pursue a career in teaching? Do you want to gain secondary school experience as an English teaching assistant in preparation for starting an English teacher training course at Easter 2021?
Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a secondary school in Huddersfield who are looking for English graduate teaching assistants to join their 'Future Teachers Programme'.
The Future Teachers programme allows graduates to secure employment as a teaching assistant following the completion of a degree, as well as earn a progressive route onto a teacher training programme with a lead training school in Huddersfield.
** Applicants must hold an English degree or be in the process of completing your degree (final year) and be looking to pursue a career in education ***
- Full time English graduate teaching assistants role for 12 months - Followed by introduction to a SCITT programme at a Huddersfield based secondary school
- Working as an English teaching assistant from Easter 2021 - 2022
- Paid up to £1200 a month for the first 12 months whilst gaining essential and invaluable experience as a teaching assistant
- Opportunity to complete a teacher training programme with the school upon successful completion
As an English graduate teaching assistant, you will be responsible for being a positive learning mentor for pupils, helping the class teacher with a range of lessons and supporting pupils with English intervention sessions in smaller groups or on a 1-1 basis, in preparation for the summer examinations.
The successful candidate will gain a range of teaching assistant experience in a reputable secondary school and will also have the opportunity to continue their teaching training practice with this school in Easter 2021.
The successful English graduates will be joining a vibrant and dedicated support team at a high achieving secondary school in Huddersfield. English graduates starting within this role will be given full guidance and direction by the school and you will be briefed on your responsibilities every morning. Staff moral is high and feedback on the schools working environment is very positive.
