Job title: Systems Engineer - MBSE

Rate: £83 per day inside ir35

Contract: 6 months+

Location: Reading/Hybrid (2-3 days per week on site)

SC security clearance is required for this role

I am looking for a System Engineer within product delivery for a client of mine who are a leading tech and engineering form operating within the UK defence sector. A fantastic opportunity and drive the digital transformation of engineering at the enterprise level.

What You'll Do:

Own the delivery and evolution of MBSE digital capabilities-toolchains, model repositories, digital threads, and lifecycle environments.
Translate complex business and engineering needs into clear roadmaps and prioritized backlogs.
Ensure end-to-end traceability from requirements through models, simulations, and test evidence.
Drive adoption of model-centric practices, making models the single source of truth across programs.
Collaborate across engineering, digital, and supplier teams to define standards, governance, and integration strategies.
Lead vendor engagement, technology evaluation, and innovation in simulation, digital twins, and model verification.

What We're Looking For:

Proven MBSE delivery experience (SysML/UML, IBM DOORS NG, TeamCenter, simulation orchestration).
Strong background in aerospace, defence, or regulated safety-critical industries.
Strategic thinker with exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
