Project Manager - Capital Works
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in capital works, M&E or lifecycle projects? This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's leading Facilities Management businesses, working on a large, high-profile critical facility in Portsmouth.

The Role:

As the on-site Project Manager, you'll be part of a dedicated estates team delivering a variety of Mechanical, Electrical and fabric-based capital works projects, typically valued between £250,000 and £1,000,000+. These projects will include both Capex and Lifecycle programmes across a secure and technically complex environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the end-to-end delivery of capital works projects within a live, critical facility.

* Act as Principal Contractor, managing specialist M&E subcontractors on site.

* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with H&S and quality standards.

* Coordinate with internal stakeholders and the wider estates and FM team.

* Maintain clear reporting and project documentation throughout all phases.

What We're Looking For:

* Proven experience delivering capital works or lifecycle projects, ideally within a maintenance/ Facilities Management environment.

* Strong background in M&E or general building works.

* Experience acting as Principal Contractor and managing subcontractors.

* Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
