QC / Quality Controller - Bridgwater - £19-22k DOE
 
My client a successful and innovative food /drink company based in Bridgwater is looking to recruit a QC / Quality Controller to join their small but important technical team.  Reporting into the Technical / Quality manager, the successful QC / Quality Controller will be working a Monday to Friday day shift.  This role will either suit a person looking to develop their career or a more experienced person with quality experience that enjoys working for a friendly and growing company
 
Responsibilities will include:
·Ensuring  quality of materials and manufactured goods is of the highest standards at all times
·Ensuring HACCP principles are followed and CCPs adhered to
·Carry out training and support for packing and production team on Quality Control matters
·Reporting of any quality compliance issues to relevant departments promptly and effectively including completion of required paperwork i.e., root cause analysis, incident report
·Checking all paperwork / documentation used in production is correct and being completed accurately
·Ensuring finished products are to agreed standards and that the correct sampling has been done
·Checking accuracy of measuring equipment i.e., weighing scale calibration/recording
·Ensure that health, safety, and hygiene procedures are being met at all times so the factory is a safe, clean and tidy environment.
·Sampling and checking new deliveries of raw ingredients and packaging and checking against
·Assisting the Quality Manager with internal and external audits.
Key skills required for the role:
·Previous technical / quality control experience in either a food, drink or pharmaceutical environment
·Excellent attention to detail
·Happy to fit into a small, friendly working environment that is relaxed, but focussed on achievement
·Be curious and always looking to improve products / processes to drive customer satisfaction
·Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
·Demonstrate good IT Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
The salary on this role is £19-22k depending on experience and the working hours are Monday-Thursday 08-30 - 17.30 and an early finish on Fridays 08.00-13.00.  This role may suit a candidate that has previously worked in a QA / Quality Auditor / Lab assistant / Technical assistant / food graduate role.  The role is commutable from Bridgwater, Highbridge, Burnham on sea, Taunton, Wellington, Yeovil, Shepton mallet, Tiverton, Wellington, Honiton
