London Museum tells the story of the world's greatest city and its people. We have embarked on an extraordinary journey to create a new museum for London. The museum will sit in atmospheric former market buildings - over 30,000 sqm - at the heart of one of the capital's most historic and creative quarters, Smithfield. The New Museum project is one of the largest cultural projects in Europe and will transform the museum, Smithfield and the City of London, creating a new cultural quarter for London. During 2026, London Museum will be proud to open the first phase of Smithfield with the General Market and West Poultry Avenue opening to the public.

At this exciting time, we are seeking an exceptional facilities professional as Deputy Head of Estate & Facilities to care for our diverse portfolio of buildings. Capable of inspiring and leading a high performing FM team, you will support the opening of the UK's first smart museum, working with the Head of Estate & Facilities to transition from PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) to data-led maintenance. Responsible for oversight of projects, you will lead on fabric management for the Estate and deliver an outstanding experience for visitors and staff.

You will bring a positive, collaborative style and a talent for motivating your team based on excellent people skills. With experience of hard and soft service contract management, project management and public site operations.

We are seeking an individual who has proven experience in managing both Hard and Soft FM operations within a comparable complex estate, focusing on outstanding service delivery. You will have experience in managing and mentoring a client-side FM team, coupled with developing a culture committed to excellence and outstanding customer service. You will effectively and efficiently manage the Estate & Facilities function, including management of resources, implementing a robust asset management regime (both planned and reactive), contractor management, maintaining business continuity plans and maintaining a high standard of site presentation.
