Our client, a freight forwarder is looking for a European Export Operator to join their office in Heywood

Duties

• Quoting customers directly freight costs for their requirements

• Liaising with our Barcelona partner in order to supply high level customer services to our customers

• Trailer load planning

• Arranging and performing UK customs for exporting

• Liaising with UK hauliers to arrange collections back to their facility

• Building and developing relationships not only with customs but also overseas partners

• Full training and career development provided

• Helping our French/German/Portugal/rest of Spain department when quite or holiday/sickness cover

Requirements

• Experience in freight forwarding an advantage but not essential

• Proficiency with IT including Microsoft Excel

• Excellent data entry skills with good attention to detail

• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with partner, customers and hauliers

• Ability to work together within a team environment while also being self-motivated

• Strong organisational skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively
