Senior Tax Accountant - Music & Entertainment - Location: London / Hybrid

We’re working with a specialist media and music accountancy firm looking to hire a Senior Tax Accountant to join their growing Tax & Compliance team.

This isn’t your typical general practice role.

Our client works with a diverse portfolio of musicians, artists, bands, touring professionals and high-profile creatives, alongside trusts and owner-managed businesses. The work is fast-paced, varied, and often a little more interesting than your standard SME tax return.

The firm is building out its year-end and compliance tax function, and this role will sit at the heart of it — focused on producing returns, managing compliance, and handling HMRC queries across a unique and high-profile client base.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of a compliance-heavy portfolio while supporting the wider firm on tax matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing personal, corporate and partnership tax returns
  • Managing a portfolio of individuals, trusts and creative businesses
  • Handling HMRC enquiries and compliance queries
  • Supporting with VAT, payroll, P11Ds and Making Tax Digital requirements
  • Assisting with year-end reporting and ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Working closely with accounts and business management teams

The work is deadline-driven, detail-focused and requires someone comfortable operating in a busy, specialist environment.

About You

We’re looking for a technically strong tax professional who enjoys compliance-led work but also wants exposure to a more exciting and creative client base.

You will likely have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a tax-focused practice role
  • Strong experience preparing personal and/or corporate tax returns
  • Experience dealing with HMRC enquiries
  • ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA (qualified or part-qualified)
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines

Why Apply?

  • Work within a true media and music accountancy specialist firm
  • Exposure to musicians, touring professionals and high-profile creatives
  • Varied work beyond standard SME practice
  • Growing, centralised tax team with progression opportunities
  • Competitive salary and long-term stability

If you’re a tax professional looking to step into a specialist media and music accountancy environment with a genuinely interesting client base, we’d love to hear from you.
