Are you an experienced conveyancer with a passion for property law and a talent for managing complex transactions?
About the role:
We're looking for a confident and capable Conveyancer to join our clients conveyancing team on a permanent basis. You will manage your own caseload of complex and sensitive land and property transactions—focusing on acquisitions, disposals, and everything in between—while providing operational guidance and technical oversight to colleagues.
This is a hybrid role and can be home-based if you prefer. Some travel will be required to support the team and attend on-site meetings, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential. Theoperating regions include Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, and London.
Key duties:
* Manage a caseload of conveyancing transactions, including complex and sensitive acquisitions and disposals
* Instruct and liaise with external legal professionals to progress matters from start to finish
* Review and approve legal documentation including contracts, leases, deeds, and variations
* Interpret title documents and assess legal risks, advising colleagues and stakeholders accordingly
* Provide day-to-day support, technical guidance, and procedural advice to colleagues across the team
* Maintain accurate case records, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and audit standards
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of internal processes and templates
* Act as deputy to the Conveyancing Manager and help oversee team performance and development
Skills and experience:
* Proven experience managing a caseload of property transactions from instruction to completion
* Strong knowledge of land law, title documentation, and conveyancing processes
* Experience advising on legal risks and interpreting complex property-related documentation
* A recognised legal qualification (e.g. Law degree, CILEx, or equivalent) is desirable, not essential
* Previous experience providing technical support within a property or legal team
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor your approach to suit different audiences
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities effectively
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with legal or case management systems
* Experience in housing, charity, or regulated sectors would be an advantage but is not essential
