  • Information & Resource Management: Ensure that up-to-date and relevant information is available to students both in-person and online, and develop new resource materials.
  • Event Support: Contribute to the design and organisation of careers events, and provide advice and guidance at key college events like open evenings and enrolment sessions.
  • Record Keeping: Use college information systems to maintain accurate records of all student interactions and track their progress.
The Ideal Candidate: Who We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced and empathetic individual with a thorough knowledge of education and career pathways. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualifications: A good level of education, including GCSEs in English and Maths, with a Level 6 Qualification in Careers Guidance & Development being essential. A relevant teaching qualification is also desirable.
  • Experience & Knowledge: Significant experience in providing high-quality, impartial CEIAG to young people and adults. You should have a thorough knowledge of post-16 and post-19 educational, training, and employment routes.
  • Skills & Abilities: Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds. You must be organised and capable of working independently.
  • Commitment: A dedication to your own professional development and a willingness to participate in occasional "out of hours" college events.
  • Flexibility: The ability to work across both the Cambridge and Huntingdon campuses as required.
