The London Fire Brigade are looking to recruit a Training Operations Officer on an interim 3-month basis. This role sits within the People Directorate's Learning and Professional Development Department. This role is crucial for supporting the effective delivery of training across the Brigade by managing resources, scheduling, and maintaining strong communication with stakeholders.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Resource Management: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of training delivery plans, liaise with stakeholders to optimise training schedules, and ensure efficient resource utilisation.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective relationships with internal and external parties, manage communication regarding training schedules, and handle enquiries and meeting coordination.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Input and monitor training-related data, generate reports to aid in performance monitoring, and maintain accurate records of training attendance and resource utilisation.
  • Business and Strategic Planning: Support data analysis for strategic planning, contribute to the maintenance of scheduling systems, and assist in administrative process enhancements.
  • Performance and Self Development: Manage tasks efficiently to meet deadlines, stay updated with relevant policies, and engage in continuous personal development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in planning, scheduling, or timetabling, with a strong ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines. Experience in a customer-focused role and proficiency in IT applications, especially Excel.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong numerical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in IT systems management.
  • Knowledge: Awareness of equality, diversity, and inclusion principles, understanding of health and safety standards, and knowledge of data protection laws.
