Job Title: Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Bonus:
Performance-related bonus pension 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
Purpose of the Role:
To lead and manage a children’s residential home in line with Ofsted regulations, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and support for children and young people with complex needs, including emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). You will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and therapeutic environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
Provide strong leadership to a team of care staff, ensuring the home operates effectively and efficiently.
Lead, mentor, and develop staff through supervision, appraisals, and training.
Maintain a positive and supportive work culture.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure the home meets Ofsted standards and is fully compliant with the Children’s Homes Regulations (2015) and Quality Standards.
Act as the Ofsted Registered Manager and liaise with external professionals and stakeholders.
Safeguarding & Child Welfare:
Ensure all safeguarding procedures are adhered to, including child protection, risk assessments, and behaviour management.
Promote the physical, emotional, and educational well-being of all children.
Care Planning:
Oversee individual care plans, ensuring that each child’s needs are met through tailored support.
Work closely with social workers, families, and relevant agencies.
Financial & Operational Oversight:
Manage the home’s budget, staffing, and resources effectively.
Ensure maintenance and safety standards of the home are upheld.
