Summary:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to have the chance of working with a major engineering contractor that specialises in the development of key nuclear projects across the UK and world, driven by talented nuclear experts. The need is for you as a mechanical designer to help contribute to the delivery and development type work, by producing mechanical equipment and rigs to underpin new technology. The opportunity will allow you to provide your full-time support to the mechanical design team to help deliver the identified scope.

Job Description:
As a Mechanical Designer, you will provide full time support to the Mechanical design team, helping to define and deliver the identified scope across streams to ensure excellent service to customers.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Developing and designing concepts into scheme drawings and translate into general arrangement, sub-assembly, and detail drawings in accordance with British Standard and client specifications.
Work alongside and support designer grade team members
Liaise with other engineering disciplines.
You will prepare for and attend design reviews as required.
You will prepare and attend HAZOPs as required.
Qualifications and key skills:
You will need to be experienced in AutoDesk AutoCAD and AutoDesk inventor 2D/3D design software. Mechanical handling experience
You will have in cell/ nuclear containment Design experience.
You will attain a minimum HNC/BTEC
You will have Knowledge of relevant drawings BS8888, BS5070 and BS EN 61082
Have an awareness of 'designer role' CDM regulatory requirements.
