Nursery Practitioner - Baby Room

Location: City of LondonSalary: £26,800 - £27,800Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (4.5 days)Shift Pattern: 08:00 - 18:00, with one half day per week (08:00 - 13:00)Qualification: Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare (or above)

Platinum Recruitment is proud to be supporting a well-established nursery in the City of London in their search for a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join their Baby Room team.

This nursery provides a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and develop through play. The Baby Room is carefully designed to support the early development of children under two years old, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and encouraged as they begin their learning journey.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic early years professional who is passionate about supporting young children during the most important stages of their development.

Your Role

As a Nursery Practitioner in the Baby Room, you will play a key role in supporting the care, development, and wellbeing of the children in your care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting babies' learning and development through engaging and age-appropriate activities
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Planning and delivering activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Observing, assessing, and recording children's progress
  • Working collaboratively with your team to ensure the smooth running of the room

What We're Looking For

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or above)
  • Experience working with babies or young children in an early years setting
  • A genuine passion for early years education and child development
  • Strong communication skills and written English
  • A warm, positive, and proactive approach
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment to high-quality childcare
