We are working with a specialist automation and special purpose machinery company based in Leicester, who are looking to engage a Controls Engineer on an initial 6-month contract.

This role is outside IR35 and requires strong experience in PLC programming and HMI development, working on systems such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Omron.

Key Responsibilities:

PLC programming from scratch and modifications for bespoke automation systems

HMI design and integration

*

System testing, debugging, and commissioning

*

Collaborating with mechanical and electrical design teams

*

Supporting on-site installation and commissioning as needed

Requirements:

Solid experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Omron PLCs

*

Proven background in HMI development

*

Experience working in the special purpose machinery or automated systems sector

*

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

*

Able to work on-site in Leicester as required
