We are currently recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant for a well-regarded secondary school in the Rochdale area, starting in September 2025.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your classroom experience, support students' learning, and work closely with experienced teachers and pastoral staff. You will be assisting across a range of subjects and year groups, supporting students with varying needs, including those who may require additional help with behaviour or engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide classroom and small group support across Key Stages 3 and 4

Support pupils' academic progress, behaviour, and well-being

Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff

Help create a positive and focused learning environment

Be a role model for students, encouraging high standards of behaviour and effort

What We're Looking For:

A university degree (any discipline) - essential

Passion for working in education and making a difference

Confidence in working with secondary-aged pupils

Comfortable managing or supporting challenging behaviours when required

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Commitment to working full-time (Monday-Friday), term-time only
