Growing and fast-paced electronic manufacturing company looking for seasoned production manager.
The focus of this role is to build excellent quality products, cost-effectively, and on-time.
Ensure all work-centers in production are staffed with the “Right People in the Right Place”. Responsibilities of the job include: planning and organizing production schedules. assessing project and resource requirements. estimating, ensuring that health and safety regulations are met all while assessing productivity with supporting Leads and Supervisors.
Monitor production work-center schedules and work closely with Sales, Test and QA teams to forecast upcoming workloads and adjust staffing appropriately to ensure on-time delivery of 95% or higher as measured monthly.
Participate in finding and qualifying new employees; manage leads, supervisors and their direct reports.
Consult and conduct counseling and reviews as necessary.
Build excellent quality products
Train and coach all applicable team members to ensure they are able to produce excellent quality products.
Train and review approved J-STD Class G procedures for assembly. Maintain bi-annual certification requirements.
Collaborate and confer on the quality of product being produced.
Manage Production Support Team efficiency
Measure work throughput to identify areas for improvement in both processes and personnel.
Identify and clearly communicate manufacturing needs/changes with other teams; design and implement alternate methods when required.
Participate actively in the continuous improvement processes within all levels
The right candidate will have at least two years experience managing in a like environment, with direct experience in the manufacturing of electronics specific to printed circuit board assembly and cable assembly. Certification to current J-STD REV not required, but past certification or training a bonus. We are willing to secure certification for the right candidate. Must be able to demonstrate understanding of manufacturing process in terms of training and supervision while also possessing administrative, management and organizational skills necessary to manage over 20 employees in different work-center areas with concurrent job schedules being maintained.
Contact with customer base will occur so ability to communicate effectively verbally and via written correspondence is necessary. A full benefit package is offered to include retirement/Simple IRA program.
