Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking a Waste Driver to join our client on an initial six month contract. This is a full time position based in the Chorley area, working early morning shifts (04:00 - 14:00, Monday to Friday).

Overview:
This role involves operating a rear collection vehicle and supporting waste collection services across planned routes. The position requires manual handling, attention to safety, and accurate completion of records.

Main Duties:

* Drive to scheduled collection points and empty multiple waste containers

* Handle potentially heavy bins using a rear collection wagon

* Complete daily vehicle checks in line with the driver operator handbook

* Accurately input information into onboard systems and maintain daily paperwork

* Comply with all traffic laws, load regulations, and site safety procedures

* Ensure roads and collection areas are left clean, including clearing any spillages

Essential Criteria:

* Valid Class 2 licence preferred

* Experience in a similar driving or waste collection role

* Good understanding of health and safety practices

* Ability to carry out manual handling tasks

* Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts
