Our client based in County Durham are looking for an experienced PV installer to work on a 6 week project in Northumberland.

Job Specification:

* Install rooftop and ground‑mounted solar PV systems, including panels, mounting structures, inverters, and cabling.

* Carry out AC and DC electrical work in line with national electrical regulations.

* Perform system testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.

* Diagnose and repair faults in existing PV systems.

* Ensure all work complies with relevant standards

* Conduct site surveys and assess installation feasibility.

* Work safely at height using ladders, scaffolding, and fall‑arrest equipment.

* Maintain accurate records of materials, work completed, and system performance.

Personal Specification:

* NVQ or City and Guilds Electrical

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

* Experience with solar PV installation is essential

* Strong understanding of AC/DC systems, inverters, and system protection.

* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and installation drawings.

* Competent using hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.

* Comfortable working at height and in outdoor environments.

* Full UK driving licence
