Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician

South Wales

Up to £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Shifts: Rotating - Days (6am-2pm), Afternoons (2pm-10pm), Nights (10pm-6am)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining production efficiency, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement across factory operations.

If you're an experienced engineer with solid maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach, we want to hear from you.

The Role:

Maintain, service, and troubleshoot a variety of production and manufacturing equipment
Perform equipment setup, operational checks, and minor preventative maintenance
Monitor and control processes using visual observation, data analysis, and testing
Conduct equipment inspections, maintain logs, and report on performance and incidents
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to optimise processes and reduce waste
Ensure all work complies with internal quality standards and external regulations
Carry out fault finding, breakdown repairs, and continuous improvements
Operate and support highly automated machinery and production lines
Monitor product quality and take corrective action when deviations occur
Keep the production floor and equipment clean, safe, and operational

The Candidate:

Time-served engineer with minimum HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline (essential)
Proven troubleshooting ability and experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
Strong decision-making skills with an understanding of cost and operational impact
Computer-literate (especially with Word and Excel) for maintenance logs and reporting
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Driving licence preferred (for site access and mobility)
