Senior Healthcare Assistant (Nights) – £14 per hour | 3 Shifts per Week | Level 3 Health and Social Care

Our client is a warm, person-centred care home providing residential and dementia care for older adults. Known for its homely atmosphere and compassionate team, the service is now looking for a Senior Healthcare Assistant (Nights) to join their growing team.

 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant or Healthcare Assistant ready to take the next step in their career. The role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality care and being a trusted presence during the quieter hours.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working in a care home setting is essential.
  • Experience in a senior care role or a readiness to step into one.
  • A kind, reliable, and respectful approach to supporting older people.
  • Ability to lead by example and support junior team members.
  • Strong understanding of dementia care and safeguarding principles is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred care during night shifts.
  • Support residents with personal care, mobility, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Supervise and support night care staff, ensuring best practice is followed.
  • Administer and record care accurately using digital or paper systems.
  • Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies or changes in residents’ needs.
  • Contribute to handovers and communicate effectively with the wider team.
  • Uphold dignity, choice, and respect for all residents at all times.
