A prestigious independent school in Richmond is seeking a passionate and academically driven Teacher of Psychology to join its thriving Sixth Form team from September 2025. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced educator to play a pivotal role in preparing high-achieving students for entry into top-tier universities, both in the UK and internationally.

The Role
You will lead the delivery of A-Level Psychology, with potential involvement in IGCSE teaching. The role centres on equipping students with a profound, university-level understanding of psychological theory, empirical research, and critical analysis. In addition, you will support students with Oxbridge and Russell Group applications, offering guidance on personal statements, interview preparation, and the development of independent research or academic enrichment projects.

About the School
Our Richmond-based school is renowned for academic excellence and has a longstanding tradition of sending students to world-class universities. With small class sizes, a stimulating intellectual culture, and outstanding facilities, we provide a tailored and ambitious learning environment where students are encouraged to explore beyond the curriculum and engage with real-world psychological research.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Psychology specialist who:

*

Holds a strong academic background in Psychology (a postgraduate degree is highly desirable)

*

Possesses QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

*

Has a proven track record of teaching A-Level Psychology to ambitious, high-performing students

*

Demonstrates expertise in guiding students through independent study and university preparation

*

Brings a genuine passion for the subject and a commitment to fostering academic excellence

Familiarity with Oxbridge admissions, EPQ supervision, or competition mentoring (e.g., Psychology Olympiads or essay contests) would be highly beneficial.

What We Offer

*

An outstanding salary package, reflecting the importance of this strategic role

*

The chance to work with some of the UK's most talented and motivated students

*

Access to first-class academic resources and dedicated Sixth Form facilities

*
