We Build Recruitment are now looking to recruit a Mechanical Estimator on behalf of our client, a leading Mechanical and Electrical Contractor based out of Fleetwood.

Duties and Responsibilities

* To assist and produce accurate, competitive and profitable tenders.

* To produce material and equipment take offs from tender information - drawings.

* To send out and manage quote enquiries from the supply chain.

* To input material / equipment take offs and costs into company estimating system.

* To provide follow up negotiations, discussions and clarification as required to help secure orders with various clients.

* To provide sufficient information on an ongoing tender, post tender negotiations, tender follow up into the business through the Bid Manager.

* To secure work to meet the company's requirements.

* To ensure project teams are aware of individual tender structure and content.

Nature and Scope of the Role

* The estimator will adhere and maintain high levels of company confidentiality and integrity, always protecting the commercial interests of the Company.

* The estimator will be in regular contact with internal and external clients, suppliers and sub-contracting companies and will possess the necessary communication skills to deliver the role effectively.

* The role requires adaptability and flexibility to react and deliver to time scales as dictated by the various tender enquiry requests.

The Estimator will also demonstrate the following.

* A good standard of numeracy.

* A good level of computer skills.

* A confident and mature approach.

* Tact, diplomacy and confidentiality
