Job Title: Principal Software Test Engineer

Location: East Midlands

Salary: £70,000 - £85,000

Xpertise Recruitment is seeking an experienced Principal Software Test Engineer to lead testing efforts and ensure product quality across multiple agile teams in a technical, Microsoft environment. This role is key in defining and enhancing QA processes, leading automation initiatives, and mentoring QA engineers, all while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

This is a hybrid role with the expectation of 1 day a month in their East Midlands office.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead QA efforts across multiple agile teams, providing technical authority and mentorship.
Define and implement comprehensive testing strategies, both manual and automated.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and product management to align testing with business goals.
Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, test environments, and release strategies.
Present testing results and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
Required Skills:

Expertise in a technical, C#.Net environment
Extensive experience in QA leadership, with a strong grasp of QA processes and best practices.
Proficiency in test automation tools (C#, Selenium, SpecFlow, ReadyAPI or similar)
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and mentor others.
Expertise in root cause analysis and quality standards enforcement.
Experience in agile environments and a background in working with remote, multi-disciplined teams.
