PageGroup are delighted to support a highly successful logistics organisation based in Burton on Trent with the appointment of a People Manager to join a busy distribution site.

This role can offer hybrid working - 4 days on site and 1 home per week.

Description

Reporting to a regional People Partner and supporting the site leadership team, the role of People Manager is a fast-paced and varied role supporting with all people matters on this unionised site.

Duties will include but not limited to:

Lead and manage the Human Resources team, providing guidance and support.
Develop and implement effective HR strategies that align with the company's objectives.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement and satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Handle employee relations issues and provide solutions.
Oversee recruitment, selection, on boarding, and training processes.
Monitor and manage performance appraisal system.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain excellent relationships with trade unions at the site Profile

Ideal candidates for this role will have a proven background within a similar People Manager role, essentially you will have proven experience dealing with trade unions.
