Full-time - £12.82 per hour - ASAP start

Tradewind Recruitment are sourcing for a passionate Early Years Practitioner to work at a Prep School in Tonbridge. This will be within their Nursery and Pre-School department where you would be working with their 1-4 year olds, and would be allocated 3-4 children as a Key Worker.

The school is a multi-form entry Prep School based in Tonbridge. They encourage a full journey through the school for their children, with most children being enrolled from as early as 3 months and could be taken all the way through to the end of Key Stage 2. The school has been inspected by the ISI as recently as March 2023 and it highlighted the School leadership are effective and the systems in place for professional development are strong. The school is accessible via public transport and driving.

The Role

  • Working primarily with children within the classroom, with attention to small groups or individuals.
  • An element of working with pupils with SEN needs within the class, which can range from: ASD, ADHD, Global Delay, Speech and Language, SEMH, and/or Behavioural Needs.
  • Assessing students’ progress and discussing development with Teachers, Parents/Carers, and external agencies if necessary.
  • Udertaking responsibility for personal care, including changing.
  • Undertaking CPD if the role requires it, in which you will be accredited for.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a main class Teaching Assistant would be highly desirable.
  • Needs to hold an NVQ/CACHE as a Level2/3 Nursery Practitioner, or any other qualification that counts towards ratio for Nursery settings.
  • Experience working with children with SEN within an education, pastoral, or personal setting would be highly desirable
  • Either have, or be willing to get, an enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Must have right to work in the UK
