Wythenshawe School, part of the Prospere Trust, is seeking a reliable and professional General Cover Teacher to manage classrooms during teacher absences. This role offers a great opportunity to work in a supportive environment and contribute positively to students’ learning.

• Deliver lessons in the absence of the regular teacher following provided plans

• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

• Support all pupils’ learning needs during cover lessons

• Report any concerns or incidents to relevant staff

• Assist with administrative or pastoral tasks as required

• Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Experience teaching in a school environment

• Strong classroom management and organisational skills

• DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain

• Ability to adapt to different subjects and year groups

• Previous experience as a cover teacher or supply teacher

• Experience in secondary school settings

• Familiarity with the national curriculum across multiple subjects

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN or behavioural challenges

• Ability to deliver lessons across a range of subjects and key stages
