A leading UK property investment and development business with a prestigious commercial portfolio is looking for a Property Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a high-performing finance function at the heart of the commercial real estate sector.

Your new role

As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of commercial properties. Your core focus will be on:

Preparing service charge year-end accounts and ensuring timely reconciliations
Supporting the production of annual service charge budgets
Performing bank and cash reconciliations
Maintaining and reconciling control accounts
Managing the tenant ledger, including allocations, adjustments, and resolving discrepancies
Supporting internal reporting and liaising with property and asset management teams
You'll be working closely with stakeholders across the business, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across the portfolio.
What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience in property accounting, ideally within a commercial real estate environment
Strong understanding of service charge accounting and year-end processes
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Strong Excel skills; experience with QUBE is desirable but not essential
A proactive, collaborative approach and strong communication skills
