We're recruiting on behalf of a small, values-led care provider with big ambitions. They're looking for an experienced, confident Registered Manager to lead a 15-bed residential care home in Kent through a high-impact turnaround.

This is not your typical “hold the fort” role. This is a long-established service with a history of 'Good' ratings, recently downgraded to 'Inadequate'.

The team is stable. A new Deputy Manager has just joined, and turnaround is already in motion; they just need the right leader to see it through.

As the Registered Manager, you'll be responsible for:

* Leading the improvement journey from 'Inadequate' back to 'Good' (or better)

* Embedding a strong, person-centred care culture across the team

* Owning audits, compliance, and inspection preparation with confidence

* Managing performance, occupancy, and referrals with full autonomy

* Driving local reputation and building trusted relationships with professionals

* Coaching, developing, and supporting a team of 18-19 staff with a new Deputy in post

We're looking for someone who:

* Has at least 3 years of experience as a CQC Registered Manager

* Comes from a residential care background

* Has led or supported a service turnaround or improved a rating

* Is confident with compliance, governance, and inspection processes

* Thrives in a role with real ownership and minimal red tape

* Lives locally in Kent or within a realistic commuting distance
