This significant leadership role requires a strategic vision to enhance curriculum provision, inspire high-quality teaching, and foster a deep understanding of English language and literature.

The Role

The Head of English will:

* Provide strategic leadership and operational management for the English department.

* Oversee curriculum development, assessment, and teaching and learning across KS3-5.

* Lead, mentor, and support a team of dedicated English teachers.

* Promote literacy across the school and foster a love for reading.

* Manage resources and contribute to whole-school academic strategy.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an exceptional English teacher with QTS/QTLS and proven leadership experience who:

* Possesses a strong academic background in English and a passion for the subject.

* Demonstrates inspiring leadership, strong management skills, and a collaborative approach.

* Is committed to fostering intellectual curiosity and articulate communication in students.

* Is data-informed and innovative in curriculum and pedagogy.
