Pay: £15.00 per hour
Holidays: 5.6 weeks’ holiday pro rata
About our client
Our client is a final Year University student, who is studying Product Design at Nottingham Trent University. He lives with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which affects every muscle in his body. He is an avid Manchester United Fan, and enjoys Formula 1. He also enjoys going out to the Cinema, pub and chilling at home.
About you
Our ideal candidate has a great sense of humor, loves football and enjoys going to matches. You are understanding, patient, able to both follow directions and work off your own initiative, and have good written and spoken English. You must be able to keep yourself busy when you are not needed, but close by and reachable by text/phone call. No experience needed as full training will be given.

Hi, I’m Toby. I have a genetic condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which affects every muscle in my body and, therefore, my ability to walk. But, I won’t let this stop me! I study Product Design, and I am about to start my final year of university at Nottingham Trent. However, due to my condition, I will need a group of full time personal assistants to help me with personal care and accessing my education.
At university, I want to be as independent as possible, and for this to happen, I will need someone willing to be part of a team of personal assistants for me. Don’t worry, it won’t feel like you work for me, but it will be like we are mates. This will enable me to study the subject that I love and live away from home for the duration of my studies. I live in my own adapted
house in Nottingham, with the addition of a spare room for PAs.
I want to make university a fun period of my life, so I am looking for someone who has a good sense of humor. You must be understanding and patient, and work on initiative as well as respecting my privacy.

A Clean Automatic Driving Licence is required for this position, as youwill be required to drive the client’s automatic vehicle.
This is role goes far beyond simply care work, and includes all the fun things you'd expect a final year university student to be doing, like getting out and socialising, whether that be cinema, going to the pub or other general activities!
Duties will include
-Personal Care – Bathing, Dressing, Grooming, Toileting
-Health Care – Assist the taking of medicine, using medical equipment -Social Support
-Travel assistance- occasional driving of the client vehicle
-Daily Living – Cooking, Shopping
-Housekeeping / Domestic duties
