We are working with a small, well-established fire protection contractor who are looking to appoint a Fire Door Site Manager to oversee works across the Birmingham area.

The company operates with a close-knit team of carpenters and typically manages 3-4 live sites at any one time, working primarily within social housing. This is a hands-on, site-based role suited to someone confident taking ownership of quality, compliance and site organisation.

This position would suit someone with strong technical knowledge of fire doors and compliance standards. A fitting background is not essential, but you must genuinely understand fire door components, installation standards and common defects, and be able to oversee works from a compliance and quality perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Overseeing fire door installations and remedial works across multiple sites

*

Managing and coordinating a small team of carpenters

*

Ensuring all works meet current fire door compliance standards (Approved Document B, BS 8214, etc.)

*

Carrying out quality inspections, compliance checks and snagging

*

Organising programmes of works and ensuring deadlines are met

*

Implementing and improving site processes to ensure consistency and compliance

*

Managing materials, deliveries and basic stock control

*

Maintaining high Health & Safety standards on site

*

Reporting progress to senior management

*

Using Bolster or similar digital reporting systems to record works and evidence compliance

Requirements:

*

Strong technical understanding of fire doors and compliance standards

*

Experience within social housing environments

*

Previous site management or supervisory experience

*

Ability to confidently run multiple sites simultaneously

*

Strong organisational skills and ability to structure workflows

*

Comfortable putting processes in place to improve efficiency and quality

*

Confident working within a small, close-knit team

Package:

*

Competitive day rate with temp-to-perm potential

*

Company vehicle provided (after 3 months of temp passed)

*

Quick start available following a short interview process
