Days and hours of work: Monday to Sunday (Rota basis) 40 hours per week

Salary: £31,700 + Inspection and performance related bonuses.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for Deputy Manager. This a fantastic opportunity to work with an independently run provider based in Norwich.

Our client provides residential care for children with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour in a small residential home.

THE ROLE

To assist the registered manager and group managers in the effective management of the home and assume delegated responsibilities.
Promote the development of staff through training and regular supervision, ensuring a high standard of professional care, safeguarding and protecting the wellbeing of the service users.
To meet the needs of and promote the development of all living within the home.
To work in partnership with the staff team and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of all individuals
Have experience and knowledge of the Ofstead framework.
Develop a confident, competent and consistent staff team and provide leadership and guidance
Be involved in the recruitment and retention of staff
To ensure staff are adequately trained, supported and supervised
To promote the efficient and effective operation of the home
To contribute to the development and growth of the company

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

You will have at least  2 years' managerial experience in health and social care
You will have proven experience dealing with behaviour that challenges
Full clean driving licence
Have experience and knowledge of the Ofsted framework
NVQ level 3 or above
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Children's Health and Social Care ( not essential but must be willing to undertake)
A passion for supporting individuals and encouraging independence
Creating staff rota's and monitoring staff holidays and sickness
Auditing case files and writing reports
Assisting the Registered manager in HR administration tasks
Good communicator on all levels
