Teaching Assistant Roles - September 2025 Start - Newport

Academics is an established education recruitment agency with strong partnerships across primary and secondary schools in Newport. We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants (TAs) to support schools across the area from September 2025 in a range of roles including general classroom support, 1:1 interventions, and ALN (Additional Learning Needs) provision.

Roles Available:

• General classroom support across Early Years, KS1, and KS2
• 1:1 support for pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
• Small group interventions in literacy and numeracy
• Behaviour support and pastoral assistance

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months' experience working with children or young people
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Academics)
• Relevant qualifications/training in childcare, education, or SEN support (desirable)
• A positive, proactive, and reliable approach to supporting pupils and staff
