An exciting opportunity for an experienced public sector procurement professional has arisen within this fast paced organisation based in East Sussex. Working as a key role within the procurement team and reporting into the Head of Procurement, you will take the lead in providing strategic procurement leadership, advice and expertise to a diverse range of stakeholders as well as manage high complex procurement processes and deliver efficiencies and savings across a range of indirect spend areas.
On a day to day basis you will be required to work with the Head of Procurement to devise and implement a procurement strategy whilst ensuring appropriate policies are followed and all activities are in line with public sector legislation and guidelines. You will also be required to work develop and review supplier relationships and ensure all contracts are commercially robust and are also delivering value for money.
In addition to experience of managing full end to end tenders via an OJEU route, you will need to be able to demonstrate experience in managing a team and the ability to train and motivate individuals. Excellent communication skills are also required, as is the ability to work with senior stakeholders and deputise for the Head of Procurement as required. Full MCIPS qualification is also required for this role.
