This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to make a real impact in a supportive school environment. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to a Year 1 or Year 2 class, supporting pupils in developing strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social skills.Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
  • Use effective phonics strategies to support early reading development
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEN and EAL
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and staff
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within KS1 (EYFS experience also desirable)
  • Strong understanding of phonics (e.g. Read Write Inc, Letters and Sounds)
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A nurturing and patient approach to teaching
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
