TeacherActive are looking for a SEND TA / SEND Teaching Assistant to have the opportunity to work in one of our Primary Special Schools. This school caters for students in EYFS-POST 16+ and we are looking for someone to join their primary team! At the school 'they teach a broad range of subjects using methods and strategies suitable to the individual needs of the pupils. Communication and Interaction is central to the curriculum, and learning for our primary pupils takes place outside the classroom as much as it does inside the classroom'

I am looking for a SEND TA / SEND Teaching Assistant to work a long-term placement with the opportunity of going permanent at the school supporting students with their education. This is a valuable time to gain an abundance of experience to add to your profile and keep everyday exciting.

The ideal SEND TA / SEND Teaching Assistant should have the following:

Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months' experience in SEND.
A calm and nurturing attitude
Happy to give a good level of personal care
Good communication skills
A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
All our supply staff are paid on a PAYE basis, so you can rest assured that you're paying the right level of Tax and National Insurance and there's no messing around with admin charges coming out of your hard-earned cash.
