We are pleased to be working with a well-established and growing organisation operating across multiple sites, who are looking to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team.

This role would suit someone who has recently gained their NEBOSH qualification or is working towards it and is looking to build hands-on experience within a busy, multi-site environment.

You must be a driver to travel to sites.

The role

As Health & Safety Advisor, you will support the Head of Compliance with the day-to-day running of health and safety across the business.

This is a varied and hands-on role, involving site visits, risk assessments, training support, and ensuring compliance with current legislation. You'll play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture while developing your own knowledge and experience.

Key responsibilities

Support the development and maintenance of health & safety policies and procedures
Assist with conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures
Support the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses
Carry out regular site inspections to ensure compliance
Help deliver health & safety training to staff
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
Monitor health & safety performance and highlight areas for improvement
Liaise with internal teams and external bodies where required
Support emergency procedures and general H&S administrationAbout you

NEBOSH General Certificate (or currently working towards)
Some experience in a health & safety or similar role
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Proactive and willing to learn
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licenceDesirable:

IOSH membership
Experience within facilities management or a similar environment
Any additional H&S related qualifications (e.g. fire safety, first aid)
