The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Van Driver / Transport Planner to join our client based in Hounslow. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with transport/logistics experience looking for a stable, full-time role with long-term potential.

Van Driver / Transport Planner - Hounslow
£14.91 - £15.87 per hour (depending on experience)
Monday to Friday | 09:00 start

Driver Requirements:

• Strong communication skills at all levels
• Ability to work closely with different departments
• Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service
• Good knowledge of London roads from a driver's perspective
• Previous experience in transport and logistics
• Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)

Key Driver Responsibilities:

• Allocate and manage driver collections and deliveries throughout the day
• Prepare and motivate drivers for daily operations
• Handle workplace issues and ensure they are resolved efficiently
• Respond to queries and phone calls in a timely manner
• Support drivers and riders with key information (routes, consignments, road closures, etc.)
• Provide shift cover when required
• Complete end-of-day procedures, ensuring all jobs are completed or correctly recorded

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of Central London driving experience (Essential)
• Minimum 1 year of transport controlling experience (Essential)
• Full UK driving licence (required)
